Verification - How it works

As a verification cooperative, Edge does not buy milk or make cheese but verifies the amount of milk and milk components for farmers who sell to privately owned dairy plants.

The verification testing done at laboratories in the Midwest ensures that farmers’ pay reflects the value of their milk.

The process is conducted in accordance with the Federal Milk Marketing Orders.
