Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or better yet milk, and join us for a biweekly update on the fast-moving activity taking place under the new administration. Edge Director of Government Affairs Karen Gefvert will be joined by the Torrey Advisory Group and other staff members to give timely updates and reports on matters important to your farms and businesses. These 30-minute updates will be followed by a discussion session to answer questions and receive member input.

Gov. Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP), announced today that $1 million will be awarded to 49 farmer-led groups through the Producer-Led Watershed Protection Grant (PLWPG) Program.

Gov. Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), announced an investment of $100 million for 55 projects to assist with fixing and upgrading aging local roads that support Wisconsin’s farmers and producers, as well as statewide agricultural and forestry industries in 36 counties across the state.

Welcome back to our Dairy Market Report! We partner with Ever.Ag to bring you highlights of recent dairy market activities, as well as a summary of key market indicators.

Market turbulence due to tariff disputes had prices commodity prices jumping around. Cheese prices bounced around but settled the week lower. CME spot blocks declined to $1.8600 per pound, down $0.0175, while barrels slid three cents to $1.7800. Butter also tumbled, falling $0.0525 to $2.3800, the lowest price since June 2023, on ample supply.
