Most data reports from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service have been paused since the government shutdown started on Oct. 1 due to the lapse in funding, creating a major information gap for the agriculture industry, which relies on timely information to make operational decisions. On Oct. 31, 2025, NASS issued a notice that it will release some of the key reports, regardless of the government shutdown.

Next year will be one full of elections for Wisconsinites, with voters heading to the polls to elect their next governor, state representatives, a new Supreme Court justice and other officials. All eight of Wisconsin's members of Congress will also be up for reelection on Nov. 3, 2026, and some of the races will be competitive, while others will follow a familiar pace.
The Dairy Innovation Hub has released its sixth annual report, reflecting progress and activities at UW–Madison, UW–Platteville, and UW–River Falls from July 2024 to June 2025. The report outlines the Hub’s major accomplishments, both since its inception and during the preceding fiscal year.
