Tim Baumgartner, Regulatory and Permitting Services Director
The harvest season is well underway, with corn silage already being harvested and nutrients being applied to fields. Farmers are also making plans for fall-planted cover crops and striving to get the work completed while favorable weather patterns persist.
During this busy season, it is easy to lose track of permitting requirements. There are important DNR department requirements, due in October and November, that are essential to keep farms compliant.
Hopefully, our weather will remain conducive to allowing the fall harvest season to continue smoothly. We will then be able to turn our attention to new opportunities or changes to our farms in the coming year.
If you are considering expansion, please keep Edge and our Maestro permitting service in mind to assist you with your plans, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
