Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative elected a new president during the group’s annual business meeting at the 2025 Dairy Strong conference in January.

Heidi Fischer of Fischer-Clark Dairy was elected president. Fischer is a long-standing, dedicated, and active member of Edge, bringing valuable experience and contributions to its mission, having previously served as vice president.

"We are excited to announce that Heidi has been elected as the new board president at Edge," Tim Trotter, Edge CEO, said. "Heidi is a seasoned communicator and an effective leader. We are confident that she will bring valuable insights and strong leadership to our organization as we continue to lead the industry forward."

Fischer farms with her husband, Jon, and his parents, Mike and Sue, in Hatley, Wis. The dairy farm was initially founded in 1972 with just eight cows. Over the years, it has since grown and evolved into the modern farm it is today, implementing new technologies and farming practices along the way.

“I believe we have garnered some great momentum this last year, so I am excited to see what opportunities 2025 will bring,” Fischer said. “I’m excited to serve as president of Edge and feel honored to represent our members.”

Fischer succeeds Brody Stapel of Double Dutch Dairy in Cedar Grove, Wis., who retired from the board at the annual meeting.

With Fischer's election as the new board president, Edge continues to further its mission of representing dairy farmers across the nation and shaping the future of the dairy industry through sustainability, innovation and collaboration.
