Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, the second largest dairy cooperative in the country based on milk volume, is encouraged by the new 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, announced by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins.

DATCP Designates New Agricultural Enterprise Areas in
Monroe, Shawano, and Sheboygan Counties

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) designated more than 96,000 acres in Monroe, Shawano, and Sheboygan counties as new agricultural enterprise areas (AEAs) effective January 1, 2026. With these additions, there are 54 AEAs statewide totaling 1,737,876 acres covering portions of 33 counties, 147 towns,
and the Bad River Reservation.

Global dairy price increases might help U.S. producers

A market advisor says prices for dairy products on the global market moved higher for the first time since August. Jenny Wackershauser with Ever.ag says, “We’re hoping this is a trend changer and not an outlier week.
